Letters to a Young Poet
More than a century ago a young student from a military school send some of his verses to Rainer Maria Rilke to ask for his opinion and feedback and thus started a correspondence. These letters are the the advice of Rilke to the young officer, aspiring poet on writing, solitude, pain, sexuality, developing as a person. The letters were written with utmost honesty and compassion providing insights into the thought process, artistic nature and evolution of the poet himself.
